I’m originally from the Midwest. Minnesota, then Wisconsin, then Minnesota again. Then, upon realizing I don’t *need* to live in a place that freezes your nostrils shut eight months of the year, I moved across the country to my long-time second home of Las Vegas. Barring family emergencies or literally running out of water, I don’t see myself leaving here anytime soon.
I published my first piece of writing at the age of eleven. I wrote a poem for a class that was selected to be a part of a regional student anthology, at which point I retired from poetry, knowing that this was the highest accolade a poem of mine was likely to receive. However, I still have a copy of that anthology. As you can see, I was a bit dark even then.
I am a multimedia writer. During my arguably 20+ year tenure, I’ve written everything from plays and movies to short stories and, of course, novels.
I have two completed series currently available for sale: the dark urban fantasy series, Dead Mall, and the romantic urban fantasy series, Death by Miss Adventure.
My next project will continue to push the boundaries of the urban fantasy genre by incorporating the Greek myths with a focus not on the gods, but the monsters. You can follow my journey from drafting to publication by subscribing to my newsletter below.
If you see me at an event, I love to talk about:
Books, writing, and publishing (of course)
Ghosts and hauntings, especially in Las Vegas
D&D and/or Magic: The Gathering
Dimension 20 (or anything else on Dropout)
News and gossip about the Green Bay Packers, the Vegas Golden Knights, or (more recently) F1 Racing.
The three things that irk me the most are:
Loud chewing
Bad customer service
Vanity license plates. Seriously, don’t get me started. Or do…but you’ve been warned.
